Solid Waste Treatment

Simply piling up organic material and letting it rot will never result in high-quality compost. A controlled process using Osorno’s CompoFlex® technology yields a high quality, pathogen-free and weed-free compost such as NutriPlenish®, the product generated by our CompoFlex® process. Any organic solid or semi-solid waste material can be used – farm waste, manure solids, biosolids, slaughtering waste, or municipal solid waste (garbage). With the CompoFlex® process, a biologically stable compost is generated within two to three weeks.

Composting is a key component in a sustainable waste management program. About 60% of household waste, and almost 100% of agricultural waste can be composted. In addition to diverting material from landfill, composting results in a valuable product which can be used as a soil amendment. Using composted materials in the garden improves soil fertility without the use of chemical or peat-based products.
